Home page (mobile)

After logging in to Trail app, home page opens.

From the home page, you are able to see and open different modules, depending on your user rights and account settings.


Android app's homepage can include three sections: Reservations OR User's reservations, Open maintenances and Recently Updated Items. From top of the home page you can access three functionalities:

  1. Menu
  2. Scan NFC-tag
  3. Scan barcode/QR-code

iOS app's homepage can include five sections: Reservations OR User's reservations, Open maintenances, Inventories, Transports or Productions. From top of the home page you can access three functionalities:

By clicking the menu -button, it can include the following list of modules.

  • Home: Back to home page view
  • Items: Open item list view, search items and open item cards
  • Reservations: Search and edit all the made reservations and also scan items to them. You are also able to create new reservations
  • My reservations: Search and edit your own reservations and also scan items to them. You are also able to create new reservations
  • Inventories: Create and execute inventories
  • Maintenances: Search, open and accept or reject ongoing maintenances. Ability to scan items to maintenance plan via NFC or bar/QR-codes
  • Locations: A list view of your locations and ability to search locations via magnifying glass icon on the top right corner. By opening an location, you can see all the what items are in them and update item locations in to them
  • Profile: Shows your Trail-user profile info
  • Logout: Log out from Trail app

iOS Menu

By clicking the menu -button, it can include the following list of modules.

  • Home: Back to home page view
  • Items: Open item list view, search items and open item cards
  • Locations: A list view of your locations and ability to search locations via "Search" field on the top of the menu. By opening an location, you can see what items are in them and update item locations in to them
  • Maintenance: Search and create maintenances. Ability to open and accept or reject ongoing maintenances. Also you can add photos to maintenance plan
  • Reservations: Search and edit all the made reservations and also scan items to them. You are also able to create new reservations
  • My reservations: Search and edit your own reservations and also scan items to them. You are also able to create new reservations
  • Inventories: Create and execute inventories
  • Transports: A view of all the transports (Only available in iOS)
  • Productions: Shows active productions (Only available in iOS)
  • Settings: View and change privacy settings (Opens iOS settings app), ability to change "QR-code/barcode reader"- and "Read QR-codes/barcodes" settings to either scanning or typing in the code or having both options. Buzzer, vibrator and Reading Distance options can be changed here. Also ability to view the current Trail version and being able to log out
  • Logout: Log out from Trail app
