Terminals
The Terminals page is part of Trail’s additional feature for Lendings or consumables terminal management.
Through this page, you can create new terminals and manage the details of existing ones.
The organization’s Trail administrators are responsible for managing terminals.

Adding a New Terminal
- Open Admin → Terminals
- Click Create new terminal
- Fill in the required details:
- Name: Give the terminal a clear and descriptive name.
- The name will be used to log in to the terminal.
- Password: Set a terminal-specific password for login.
- Location: Select from the dropdown the location whose equipment will be issued through this terminal. Terminals are always location-specific.
- Department: Select from the dropdown the department whose equipment will be issued through the terminal.
- Click Save.
Note: The name and password are terminal-specific. Only share them with users who are responsible for handing out items through the terminal.
Editing or Deleting a Terminal
Edit
You can edit the details of an existing terminal:
- Open Admin → Terminals
- Click the Edit button on the row of the terminal you want to modify
- Make the necessary changes and save
Deleting a terminal
To delete a terminal, click the trash can icon on the terminal’s row.
Deletion is permanent, so make sure the terminal is no longer in use before proceeding.
⭐ Tips for creating terminals:
- Plan terminal names and locations carefully so their use is clear to all users in the organization.
- Share the password only with those who need to log in to the terminal.
- Use separate terminals for different locations so the system can track, for example, from which location stock models have been taken.
