Item list (new)

Trail item list view is being updated.

Users can view items added to Trail and their information through the item list view. Open "Items" module and select the "All items".

The number of items visible may vary between users. Administrators grant users access to different items based on department information. By clicking on the item's model name, you can open the item's own item card, which contains detailed information about the item.

Through the item list, you can create/add new items, search for added items, download the list as a file, or select the necessary items and add them to reservations, print labels, mass-edit, confirm locations, or delete them.

Columns in the item list

Item selection, identifier, and status always appear on the left side. From the right side of the item row, you can open item's editing view or open the item card.

Users can customize their own item list view.

  1. Open "My Profile" from the top right corner of the page.
  2. Under "Item List Columns," you can select and remove columns in your list.
  3. Click "Save" to activate the changes.

If all the selected columns are not shown, you can move the item list view from left to right either with your laptop's mouse or using the ruler at the bottom of the page. You can widen or narrow columns using the gray lines between column headers.

Splitting Devices Across Multiple Pages

If there are many items, they may be divided into multiple item list pages. The total number of items can be found in the upper right corner of the list. You can switch pages using the < and > symbols.

On one item list page, you can have 20, 50, or 100 items. You can change the number of items displayed through the "My Profile" function. Click "My Profile" in the upper right corner. Under "Items per Page," you can update the visible number. Remember to save the change to activate it.

Free Text Search

Free text search is a quick way to search for a specific item or a list of items. Free text search looks for the word(s) from following fields: model, category, description, serial number, identifier, location, or any other separately defined fields.

Here are some key tips for searching:

  • 3 Characters: If a word has more than 3 letters/characters, you must type at least three letters before Trail starts the search.
  • Minus Sign: By adding a minus sign before a word, Trail removes that word from the search results.
  • Quotation Marks: By enclosing multiple words in quotation marks, you can narrow the search to a specific word order. For example, "Truss 2m."

Advanced Search

By clicking "Advanced Search" next to the search field, you can access additional search options.

Advanced search allows you to save frequently used searches with specific criteria and search for items by using different data fields. It also allows you to search for softly deleted items.

Please note that you can search for multiple locations, departments, and categories simultaneously.

Search options can be removed by clicking the search name, or through Advaced search view.

Item Catalog

If there has been enabled the item catalog view, you can view the catalog by clicking the grid button on the right side of the page.
