How to find deleted items and can you get a report of them?

In Trail, items can be deleted in two ways:

  1. Soft delete
    1. Delete > Delete
    2. The item disappears from the active items list.
    3. The item is not permanently removed. It can still be found later through the item list advanced search.
  2. Permanent delete
    1. Delete > Delete permanently
    2. The item and all related data are permanently deleted.
    3. They can no longer be viewed or undeleted.

How to find softly deleted items?

  1. Open Items – All items
  2. Click Show advanced search
  3. In the Deleted field, choose Show only deleted items
  4. If needed, you can further filter the results by date or delete reason

  1. Click Search
  2. Trail will display all softly deleted items that match your search.
  3. You can also display the Deleted and Delete reason columns via the column settings in the item list.

How to download a list of deleted items?

  1. Select the items you want to include in the report
  2. Click Download list

  1. Choose the file format: PDF or Excel
  2. Select the columns you want to include in the report
  3. Click Download
