Deleting a reservation

If a reservation was created by mistake, the reservation plan can be deleted from the reservation's own page.

Please note: a deleted reservation is permanently removed from the system and cannot be restored.

Deleting a Reservation in “Planned” Status

If no items have been read out, the reservation plan can be deleted. Note that this requires Editor rights for reservations.

  1. Open the reservation
  2. Click the Delete Reservation button at the top of the page

Deleting an Active Reservation (Items already read out)

Once at least one item has been read out, the "Delete Reservation" button disappears. This ensures the system retains information about who used the items.

Note: Deleting an active reservations is not recommended, as it will erase the item usage history.

If deletion is absolutely necessary, follow these steps.

  1. Deletion requires Editor rights for reservations.
  2. If an item has already been returned, first read it out again.
  3. Click the quantity
  4. Click Collect

  1. Click the quantity again
  2. Click Cancel to remove the record of item usage

  1. Repeat for all items in the reservation
  2. Once all read-outs are cancelled, refresh the reservation page
  3. The Delete Reservation button will reappear at the top

⭐ Trail Tips

  • Past reservations: Reservations whose dates have ended are removed from the active reservation list, but they can still be found via advanced search. If it is sufficient for a reservation to simply disappear from the list, you can either adjust its end date to a closer time or wait until the reservation period ends.
  • Responsibility: Be careful when deleting data to ensure that item tracking history remains accurate and reliable.
