Prop Sets

Prop sets help you keep a production’s props grouped and easy to locate.

You can record how many similar sets you have, where they are stored, and any instructions or files that should stay with them.

Each prop set has its own card, and the All prop sets page shows sets across productions.

Create a prop set

  1. Open the production
  2. Click Add new prop set

  1. Enter a Name (required)
  2. Fill in any other useful details:
    • Amount: Number of similar prop sets.
    • Location: Select an existing location (physical location, or item such as case)
    • Description: What the set contains
    • Additional information: Other details your team may need

  1. Click Create.
  2. Trail returns to the production’s page.
  3. Click the prop set’s name to open its card. You can return to edit the information later.

Use the prop set card

Trail gives each prop set a unique identifier.

Its card shows the set’s information and lets you:

  • Edit - to change the set’s details
  • Attachments - to add images or PDFs
  • Add new prop set - to create another set
  • Print Label - to print a barcode or QR label, if a printer has been installed for Trail
  • Delete to remove the prop set

The right side of the card lists the other prop sets in the same production.

Find prop sets from all productions

Open Productions → All prop sets to see prop sets across productions.

Search for a set, or select several sets to use available bulk actions such as printing labels or editing their main information.
