Return Options for Equipment Kits
By default, Trail return the whole content of the parent item when the parent item is returned from a reservation. There are two alternative return options for this (if you want to use these options, please contact our support at support@trail.fi).
User with ‘Editor’ rights to item information can do these changes.
Option 1. The entire contents of the parent item should be scanned upon return
If you want all items located inside items in a certain item model to be scanned separately when returning the equipment kit, follow these steps:
1. Open the ‘Models’ tab
2. Select the item model, whose contents should always be scanned separately upon return, and open its edit view (open the model page and click on the ‘Edit model’ button in the upper right corner)
3. Under ‘Read contents on return’, select ‘Yes’
4. Press
Save
Note that this is a model-specific setting, meaning it applies to all items in this model. From now on, the items located in any item that belongs to this model must be read in separately when returned.
Option 2. Only specific item models should be scanned in separately during return
If you want only certain item models to be scanned in separately when the parent item is returned, follow these steps:
1. Open the ‘Models’ tab
2. Select the item model that should always be scanned in separately when returning a parent item and open its edit window (open the model page and click on the ‘Edit model’ button in the upper right corner)
3. Under ‘Always scan on return’, select ‘Yes’
4. Press
Save
Note that this is a model-specific setting, meaning it applies to all items in this model. From now on, all devices in this model should be scanned in separately when returned if they are inside a parent item.
