Models and items
What is the difference between a model and an item?
Models are used to group in identical items. All items are part of a model and in one model you can have one or multiple items. We recommend using the product name as the name of the model, so managing the models is easier. Certain information is defined by model, such as category and item type. That way there is no need to fill out the same information to each individual model.
Models are also used in reservations. If there is no need to have a certain item in your reservation, you can make a reservation to the correct model. When the reservation starts, the user can pick out any available item of the model and read it out in their reservation.
You will find all the models used in your environment from Items > Models view.
Item is a piece of model. All items have their own item card where you can see all the information regarding the item. Trail generates unique identifiers for each item which will remain the same throughout the lifespan of the item.
