Widget: New Transports


With the New transport widget you can create a new transport straight from the homepage, without opening the Transport page.

It speeds up your work when you make transport requests often or want to record several transports in a row.

Using the widget requires that the Transport module is enabled and that you have editor level user rights to it.

How the widget works

  1. Fill in the basic information of the transport:
    • Title: A short description of the transport. This is the only mandatory field.
    • Production: Select which production's equipment is being transported. Once a production is selected, Trail suggests its equipment for the transport. The field is available if the Productions module is enabled.
    • Start date and End date: Select from the calendar when the transport should be carried out.
    • Destination location: Type the destination of the transport.
    • On behalf of: Select the Trail user to whom the transport's notifications are sent in addition to you. If the recipient is not a Trail user, click Email on the right side of the field and type the email address manually.
  2. If needed, write additional information about the transport in the Description field.
  3. Save the transport with one of the buttons:
    • Save creates the transport.
    • Save and add another creates the transport and leaves the form open for the next transport.
    • Clear empties the form's fields without saving.

The new transport is shown in the Transport list. Only the basic information of the transport is created in the widget. The equipment to be transported is added on the transport's own page, after which the transport is approved and carried out.
