Maintenance import (PAT test results)
Maintenance > Maintenance Imports page allows you to quickly import PAT inspection (also called Test and Tag) reports directly into Trail from a provided file.
Trail links the inspection results to the correct item and records them in the system, saving time and reducing manual entry errors.
Note: This page can be added on request. Contact support@trail.fi if you are interested.

Basic information
- The file must be in TXT or CSV format.
- The file should include an identifier exported by your testing device (e.g., serial number, custom ID, or Trail barcode).
- During import, Trail scans each row (or block) of the tests in the provided file and searches for the item informed.
- Once the item is found, Trail adds a new inspection using the added date from the file.
- If a maintenance report with the same name and date already exists, Trail reports this with an error to avoid creating a duplicate.
