Importing PAT test results

PAT Inspection -tool helps users import PAT inspection (or Test and Tag) reports directly into Trail from an exported file provided by the testing device. Usually the PAT reports are in TXT or CSV format, and Trail is able to read most of the current formats. If there is a format missing, please contact us with an example of the source file.
PAT-importer scrolls through each row (or block) of tests in the provided file, and searches for an identifier that links the row to an item in Trail. This identifier can be a serial number, custom identifier or a Trail barcode. Once the article is found, Trail will try to add a new inspection with a date parsed from the same row (or block of text). If a maintenance does not already exist with the same name for the same date, a new maintenance report is added.
In order to use PAT Inspection importer, you will have to create a new planned maintenance, and attach the models you are inspecting to that maintenance plan: See creating recurring maintenance plans
