Install external printer server to printer

Make sure you have all of the needed parts:

    1. Raspberry Pi, Power cable, USB cable
    2. Network cable. Network cable is not part of the printer package and needs to be purchased separately.

Installation of the external server:

1. Insert USB cable to one of the four USB ports in the Raspberry Pi. Connect the other end to the printer's USB port.

2. Insert network cable to its port in Raspberry Pi. Attach the other end to the network socket on a wall.

3. Insert power cable to the USB-C port in the Raspberry Pi. Attach the other end to power socket. Power will turn on automatically after this.

Installing the printer

    1. Attach the power cord to the printer and into a grounded outlet.
    2. Turn the printer on by pressing the power switch.
    3. Note! The external printer server needs to be turned on before turning on the printer.

Print a test label

    1. Print test label from Trail to make sure the printing is working.
    2. Following guide teaches how to print labels and cut them from the printer: Printing labels
    3. If label's information is not centered properly, please print 5-10 additional labels. Printer typically adjusts the placement automatically.
    4. If this does not help, please contact Trail support. Attach a photo of the labels to your message, so we can better help you with this.
