Creating a new reservation
Reservations make it easier to plan the use of items and help ensure that the necessary equipment is available at the right time.
This guide walks you through creating a reservation – easily and quickly!
Topics:
Why reservations are used
Trail reservations help plan the use of items in advance and ensure that the right items are available at the right time. Reservations also make it possible to track how frequently items are used.
You get the most benefit from reservations when the items are marked with Trail labels and users have tools available for scanning the items, such as the Trail mobile app or a reader device. Labels and scanners can be ordered from Trail sales: sales@trail.fi.
Reservation rights can be:
- No: cannot make reservations
- Read: can create personal reservations for their own department
- Edit: full rights to all reservations

⭐ Tips for scanning stock models
We recommend always scanning items individually to avoid errors.
Since a stock model has one shared identifier, items can also be read out and returned in parts if necessary.
How to do it:
- Click the model quantity for the stock model
- Select the desired amount
- Click Collect, Save, or Return depending on the step
