Collecting and returning equipment in the mobile app

Follow the following steps for scanning equipment out on a reservation and for returning the equipment in the mobile app.

Please note that you need to have an existing reservation to which you scan the equipment out and in.

1. Open the mobile app. 

2. On the homepage, you will see the reservations in the section Upcoming reservations. If the reservation is visible on this list, open it by clicking the reservation name in this view.

3. Alternatively, you can open the all reservations list by clicking the Menu icon (three lines) on the top-left corner and by selecting Reservations

4. After you have selected the correct reservation, the reservation's page opens On the reservation page, you will see a list of the reserved item models.

5. Click the barcode icon on the top of the app to open the mobile device's camera (Trail uses the camera as a barcode/QR code scanner)

6. Scan the item labels, which you want to scan out on the reservation

7. When the app reads the label, Trail will mark the item in state 'Out' (given that the item can be scanned out). If the item cannot be scanned out, the app will give a notification that the item cannot be used and the reason for rejection.

Returning equipment with the mobile app

1. Open the reservation's page in the mobile app

2. Open the scanner by clicking the barcode icon on top of the app

3. Scan the equipment labels of the equipment you want to return

4. Trail will mark the items as returned
