Modules

Modules in Trail

Trail consists of different modules, and they are found from the top menu. By clicking on the modules, you can view and manage the related information.

This guide helps you understand the purpose of each module and how they might be useful for your organization.

Note: Not all modules are visible to all users. Your organization’s administrators define which modules each user has access to.

Most common modules

Homepage

The homepage is each user’s personal view in Trail. You always have the most important tools at hand without unnecessary searching. You can customize it to your needs by adding or removing widgets from your own homepage.

Items

In the Items module, you can view and manage your organization’s items. Each item has its own item card with all relevant details: location, maintenance history, reservations, and more.

Additional features:

  • Stock and consumables views: For items that need to be tracked by quantity rather than individually.
  • Inventory: Conduct location-based inventories of individual items.
  • Driving journal: Track vehicle usage and maintain digital driving logs. (Paid feature)

Inventories

The Inventories view is found under the Items module.

Inventories help you confirm that items are in the correct location. Trail automatically shows which items should be present at each location. Inventories can be used for individual items, not stock or consumables.
