Set Pieces

How to add new set pieces

1. Open the production view

2. Click Add new set piece

3. Create new set piece form opens. Insert the set piece information

General information

  • Production: Select the correct production from the drop-down menu
  • Name: Add the set piece name (Mandatory field)
  • Drawing number: The number of drawing for this set piece (Mandatory field)
  • Amount: Type in the number of the set piece parts
  • Location:
    • Cart: If the set piece is located in another item (i.e. a cart), you can add the item as the set piece’s location. Note: the item has to be an existing item in your Trail.
    • Location: You can select an existing location for the set piece by starting to type the location name
  • Side: Which side on the stage the set piece will be set up
  • Act: Type in the Act where this set piece is used
  • Scene: Type in the Scene where this set piece is used
  • Fixing: Free text field for adding information about the fixing (e.g. is it hanging from the ceiling or placed on the floor)

4. Click Create

5. The created Set Piece's page opens.

On the set pieces page, you can do the following actions:

  • Edit the set piece (click Edit set piece link on the top right corner)
  • Delete the set piece (click Delete set piece link on the top right corner)
  • Add a part to the set piece (click Add set piece part link on the top right corner)
    • This will open a ‘Create new set piece’ page
    • This set piece will be automatically be linked to the parent set piece
  • Print a label with a barcode/QR-code for the set piece (Click Print label link) 
    • This action is only available if a printer has been installed to Trail
  • Add attachments to the set piece
    • Images or pdf files

On the right-hand side, you will see a list of other set-pieces that belong together with this set piece. You can edit these pieces by clicking the edit icon on the set pieces's row.

Under productions module, the is All set pieces list view.

This view shows all the set pieces from all productions. 

  • You can use different search possibilities to find the needed set pieces.
  • By selecting set pieces, you are able to print labels to multiple sets at once, edit the main information or massdelete the selected pieces.
