Cloning a reservation

What does cloning a reservation mean? Cloning means that you can create a new reservation based on an existing one.

This is useful when you create similar reservations for different time periods and need the same item models and quantities.

When cloning:

  • The same models and quantities are copied to the new reservation.
  • The new reservation is created in planning status.
  • No items are automatically read out. Items are scanned into use only when the reservation begins.

How to Clone a Reservation

  1. Open the reservation you want to use as a template.
  2. Click the Clone button in the upper right corner of the reservation view.

  1. The reservation details view will open.
  2. Update if necessary:
    • Title
    • New time period
    • Other basic details
  3. Click Save.

  1. The new reservation view will open.
  2. The item models and quantities have now been automatically added as the basis for the new reservation.

⭐ Trail Tips

  • Carefully check the new reservation dates to ensure it does not fall on the wrong day.
  • If there are not enough items of a specific model available, the information will appear in red. You can remove such models from the planning list and replace the missing item with another model or use the additional setting for sub-hire.
  • Cloning is especially suitable for recurring trainings, productions, or events where the item quantities remain the same.
